Andrew Dossman
Andrew Dossman is a 3rd year medical student, a David Geffen Scholar, and now a Lacey E. Wyatt Scholarship recipient in the PRIME-LA program at the David Geffen School of Medicine. Andrew was born the 3rd child of 4 and grew up in a middle-class neighborhood in Long Beach, CA. He attended Long Beach Poly HS where he was in the PACE program and played basketball. Upon accepting a full-tuition Posse Foundation Scholarship, he attended the University of Wisconsin-Madison where he obtained a BS in Kinesiology and pledged Alpha Phi Alpha Fraternity, Inc. After graduating in December of 2018, Andrew worked as a Sensory Motor Coach alongside kids with cognitive and behavioral challenges. Following this, he worked as an Americorps member for City Year Los Angeles, where he tutored 9th-grade students in Math, English, and Biology at Jordan Highschool in South Central Los Angeles. Andrew's friends would describe him as driven, easy-going, and funny; attributes that he hopes to share with his future patients as he continues to strive to work alongside his future patients and colleagues as an aspiring Primary Care Physician and Healthcare Administrator.
